- A person with respect. The one who knows when to stop & doesn’t hit below the belt when you get into an argument just to hurt you.
- A person with manners. Even saying, “Thank you” to cashiers at the mall tells a lot about a person.
- A person with patience. If while waiting in a long line, they start saying obscene things & turn heads, that’s not a good look. It won’t make the line move any faster.
- A person who’s polite. “Excuse me” or “I don’t mean to bother but…” kind of people make me feel like there are still nice humans out there.
- A person who can admit they’re wrong & can apologize. It is a virtue to be wrong yet still manage to get your point across without stepping on anyone’s toes. This also means they’re open minded people willing to improve themselves & learn more.
- A person who throws their spare change in the donation cups next to the register. It shows that they’re giving & that $0.38 may not be significant to them but can help another person in need.
- A person who isn’t materialistic - but if they are, knows how to spend within their budget. This kind of person is good in the gift department when it comes to occasions. ;)
- A person who is in school. Whether they’re pursuing a degree or already into their career, this shows that the person is head strong & knows what they want out of life.
- A person who treats others well. They don’t necessarily do it for reciprocity, but just because they don’t want to be another asshole in the world.
- A person who respects their elders. Take notice when they’re around your parents or even a teacher & watch how their speech straightens out. They know how to speak with older people & know that they can’t, “Yo yo ma” everyone.
I’m sure there’s plenty more you can add to this list but these are little things people overlook & take for granted. I’ve actually learned that these gestures are signs for good things in the future. They’re a reflection of their qualities, even if it takes little scenarios like these to bring them out.
